Why Isn't My Business Getting Enough New Customers?

If you've been wondering "why isn't my business getting enough new customers," Sunday can be a funny day to think about it.

Maybe last week was great.

Phone was ringing. Estimates went out. Jobs got booked.

Or maybe it was quiet.

Too quiet.

And now you're sitting there wondering what next week is going to look like.

That's one of the hardest parts of owning a business.

You can be damn good at what you do and still have no idea where the next customer is coming from.

Being Good Doesn't Guarantee You'll Be Found

A lot of great local businesses grow almost entirely through word of mouth.

Do good work.

Take care of people.

Get referrals.

There's nothing wrong with that.

The problem is that you can't control when someone decides to recommend you.

You can't make a past customer have a friend who needs a plumber next Tuesday.

You can't force somebody's neighbor to need a new roof.

And you definitely can't build next month's schedule around hoping somebody mentions your name.

That's when "why isn't my business getting enough new customers" becomes a bigger problem.

Because inconsistent leads create inconsistent everything else.

One week you're slammed.

The next week you're wondering where everybody went.

You start considering ads.

Maybe you lower your prices.

Maybe you take jobs you normally wouldn't.

Maybe you start worrying when there isn't actually anything wrong with the quality of your business.

The problem might simply be that not enough people can find you.

Your Next Customer Is Already Looking for Someone

This is what makes Google so valuable for a local business.

You don't have to convince someone they need a plumber when there's water coming through their ceiling.

You don't have to convince someone they need an electrician when half their house doesn't have power.

You don't have to convince someone they need a roofer after a storm.

They already know.

They're searching for somebody who can help.

The question is whether they find you.

Because if your business isn't showing up, they're not going to keep searching until they discover you.

They're going to call somebody else.

That's a customer you were qualified to serve.

You just never got the opportunity.

That's the Problem I Help Fix

This is where I come in.

I help local businesses improve how they show up on Google so more of those searches turn into opportunities.

I look at how your business is currently showing up.

I find where you're losing ground.

Then I work on getting you positioned in front of more of the people already searching for what you sell.

And you don't have to spend Sunday night figuring out how to do it.

You don't need another marketing project.

You need customers.

My job is to handle the Google side so you can handle them when they call.

So if you're asking "why isn't my business getting enough new customers," I'd start by finding out what your customers see when they search for you.

I'll take a look.

If there are opportunities you're missing, I'll show you.

Why isn't my business getting enough new customers? Your problem may not be your service. It may be that local customers simply aren't finding you.
