Why Are People Finding My Business on Google but Not Calling?

Seeing your business show up on Google feels like a win.
You're getting views.
People are finding your Google Business Profile.
Maybe your website is getting traffic.
But there's one problem.
The phone still isn't ringing.
If you've been wondering "why are people finding my business on Google but not calling," getting found may not actually be your biggest problem anymore.
You might have a conversion problem.
People are seeing you.
They're just choosing somebody else.
Getting Found on Google Is Only Half the Battle
Imagine someone needs the exact service you provide.
They search Google and your business pops up.
Great.
But you're probably not the only business they see.
There's another company right below you with 200 reviews.
Another one has dozens of recent photos.
Another has a professional website that immediately answers their questions.
So they start comparing.
Your business has 24 reviews.
Your last photo was uploaded eight months ago.
Your hours might be wrong.
They click your website and aren't immediately sure whether you service their area.
Nothing about your business is necessarily bad.
The other company just made the decision easier.
So they get the call.
You get another profile view.
Google Views Don't Pay the Bills
This is where marketing numbers can fool you.
Someone can tell you your Google profile received 1,000 views last month.
Sounds great.
But I'd rather know what happened after those views.
Did people call?
Did they visit your website?
Did they ask for directions?
Did any of them become customers?
Because you can't deposit Google views.
You can't make payroll with website traffic.
And impressions aren't paying for your next truck.
Customers are.
If hundreds of people are finding your business and hardly any of them are taking the next step, getting another thousand views isn't necessarily going to solve the problem.
We need to figure out why the people already finding you aren't choosing you.
Why People Find Your Business on Google but Don't Call
Usually, I start by looking at the business from the customer's side.
Not yours.
If I knew absolutely nothing about your company and found you next to three competitors, who would I call?
Do you have enough reviews?
Are they recent?
Do your photos actually show your work?
Is it immediately clear what you do?
Does your website make you look like a business I'd trust?
Can I quickly figure out how to contact you?
Does everything look active and current?
Customers are making those judgments fast.
They don't know how good you are yet.
They only know what they can see.
And if what they see doesn't give them enough confidence to call, they'll keep looking.
I'll Help Turn More Google Searches Into Customers
That's where I come in.
Getting you found is important, but I don't want to stop there.
I want the person who finds your business to have a reason to choose it.
I'll look at your Google presence the same way a potential customer would.
I'll find the places where you're losing trust or making the decision harder than it needs to be.
Then I'll work on fixing them.
That could mean your Google Business Profile.
Your reviews.
Your photos.
Your website.
Your overall positioning.
Whatever is standing between "I found this company" and "I'm calling this company."
And you don't have to spend your Tuesday figuring any of this out.
That's my job.
You take the calls.
I'll work on helping more of them come in.
So if people are finding your business on Google but aren't calling, let's figure out where you're losing them.
