If you're wondering how to prepare your business for the week ahead, Sunday afternoon is actually a pretty good time to think about it.

Not to spend the rest of your Sunday working.

Quite the opposite.

Sunday afternoon is one of those rare moments when the previous week is finished and the next one hasn't started yet.

It gives you a chance to think.

What needs your attention this week?

What can wait?

And maybe most importantly, what shouldn't be on your plate at all?

How to Prepare Your Business for the Week Ahead

Business owners tend to accumulate responsibilities.

You start a company because you're good at something.

Then suddenly you're also responsible for sales, hiring, payroll, customer service, bookkeeping, marketing, scheduling, and everything else required to keep the doors open.

Before long, you're doing a dozen different jobs.

I've always thought one of the biggest differences between owning a job and owning a business is learning which of those jobs actually require you.

Marketing is a good example.

Your business needs to stay visible.

Your Google Business Profile needs attention.

Reviews need responses.

Photos need updating.

Your website needs fresh content.

Your online presence can't disappear just because you're busy this week.

But does that mean you should spend Monday morning doing it?

Probably not.

If you're thinking about how to prepare your business for the week ahead, I'd start by looking at your calendar and asking one question:

What am I doing this week that someone else could do just as well, or better, without me?

Every responsibility you can confidently hand off gives you something back.

Time.

Time to meet customers.

Time to lead employees.

Time to follow up on opportunities.

Time to actually think about where your business is going.

That's why I don't look at outsourcing marketing as simply buying advertising.

You're buying back capacity.

The marketing still gets done.

Your visibility keeps growing.

Your Google presence keeps moving forward.

But it doesn't require another item on your Monday morning list.

And that might be one of the best ways to start the week.

If you're thinking about how to prepare your business for the week ahead, take ten minutes this Sunday and decide what deserves your attention and what you can finally take off your plate.

If marketing is one of those things, let's talk. We can handle your Google presence while you focus on running the business.
