Getting in Front of the Right People Is Half the Battle

I've spent quite a bit of time lately helping businesses connect with people they want to work with.

And it's reminded me of something that sounds pretty obvious.

You can have a great product or service, but it doesn't do much good if the right people never hear about it.

Think about how many businesses you pass every day without knowing what they actually offer.

Some of them might have exactly what you need.

You just haven't had a reason to talk to them yet.

The same thing happens in business.

There are companies looking for better solutions, business owners trying to solve problems, and people who could genuinely benefit from knowing one another.

But those conversations don't always happen on their own.

Getting in Front of the Right People Takes Work

This is where a lot of businesses struggle.

They know who their ideal customers are, at least generally.

But finding those people, figuring out who makes the decisions, introducing themselves, and following up takes time.

And when you're busy running a business, that work usually gets pushed aside.

Meanwhile, there are opportunities out there that nobody is pursuing.

Not because the business doesn't have something valuable to offer.

Because nobody has started the conversation.

A Good Business Conversation Starts With a Connection

I've never believed every business conversation needs to begin with a sales pitch.

Sometimes it starts with a simple introduction.

Maybe there's an opportunity to work together.

Maybe there's a problem one business can help another solve.

Or maybe it's just a useful connection to have down the road.

You won't know until you talk.

That's something I've been reminded of while working on several new outreach campaigns lately.

The goal isn't to convince everyone to buy something. It's to connect the right people and see whether there's a good reason to do business together.

And if there isn't, that's fine too.

I'll Help You Reach the People You Want to Work With

This is a big part of what I do for clients.

I help businesses figure out who they should be talking to, find those people, make introductions, and follow up when there's an opportunity worth pursuing.

Sometimes that means direct outreach through LinkedIn, email, or phone calls.

Other times, it means improving how a business shows up on Google so customers can find them first.

It depends on the business and the people we're trying to reach.

But the objective is the same.

Create more opportunities for good business conversations without making the owner handle every step themselves.

If you're running a business and wish you had more time to find new customers, let's talk.

I'd be happy to learn what you do, who you're trying to reach, and whether I can help make those introductions happen.

Getting in front of the right people takes time. Learn how thoughtful outreach, introductions, and follow-up can create more business opportunities.
